Why we love it

The thornless honey locust has an airy canopy that lets light through to planting beneath.

It is very tolerant of heat, drought and urban conditions.

How to use it

Ideal for terraces, courtyards and larger gardens where you want shade without heaviness.

Planting and aftercare

Plant between autumn and spring and water well through the first two summers. Prune lightly in late winter to remove crossing stems and reveal the structure.
