Why we love it
The upright hornbeam brings strong, formal structure without a wide canopy.
It is one of the most dependable trees for streets, driveways and formal planting.
How to use it
Plant in rows for avenues and screens, in pairs at entrances or singly in smaller gardens.
Planting and aftercare
Plant between autumn and spring, stake securely and water well through the first two summers. Prune in winter while dormant to remove crossing or damaged branches and keep a balanced crown.
