Why we love it
Few trees hold such deep, rich colour through the whole summer.
Planted against green backgrounds or pale buildings, it creates a dramatic contrast.
How to use it
Use as a statement tree in larger gardens and parkland, or to add depth to a mixed planting.
Planting and aftercare
Plant between autumn and spring, stake securely and water well through the first two summers. Prune in winter while dormant to remove crossing or damaged branches and keep a balanced crown.
