Why we love it
'Elsrijk' keeps the toughness of the native field maple in a tidier, more upright shape, making it ideal for avenues, streets and smaller spaces.
Its leaves turn clear yellow in autumn, and it copes well with hot, dry summers.
How to use it
Excellent for avenues, driveways, car parks and front gardens, or as a reliable native tree in larger gardens.
Planting and aftercare
Plant between autumn and spring, stake securely and water well through the first two summers. Prune in winter while dormant to remove crossing or damaged branches and keep a balanced crown.
