A project is only a success if the planting thrives. That is why we share clear aftercare guidance for you and your clients, and we are on hand if questions come up.

Getting through the first two years

Most new planting needs the most care in its first two growing seasons. Watering through dry spells is the single most important job in that time, especially for trees and hedging.

Practical guidance

When it comes to watering, a thorough, regular soak is more effective than watering little and often. A layer of mulch then helps keep that moisture in and weeds down. Stakes and ties are worth checking too, and loosening as trees grow. Topiary and hedging should be clipped at the right time of year, and our guide on when to clip topiary sets out the timing.
