Find out a bit more about the members of the Form Plants team, what they do and how they can help you.
Role: General manager
Danny had a history in marketing, sales, and events sectors before joining the Form team. Having a keen interest in horticulture, Danny started at Form Plants in March 2020, dealing with customer enquiries and managing their accounts. Since then, his role has changed and adapted to the needs of the company, and he’s learned quickly what the company and customers need to shape the role.
Danny still deals with our customer needs, but his role now also includes the management of the marketing at Form. This includes the creation of inspiring content for social media. Danny also supports the business in several other ways, having a hand in the logistical side of the business, booking deliveries, and overseeing the general running of the rest of team.
For our customers, Danny deals with everything from start to finish. Whatever type and size of project, Danny is on hand to help. From processing more standard orders of onsite products, to bespoke projects, sourcing and arrange importation of plants from overseas, Danny will ensure the process is stress-free for you.
Role: Nursery Manager
Michael has extensive experience within the horticulture world, extending back to his first job at 17, working in landscaping. This is what sparked his interest in plants and the industry. After landscaping, Michael took a role at Whitewater Nursery, now the site of Hortus Loci. Here Michael was trained by enthusiastic and experienced individuals and his love for plants only grew.
Wanting a broader understanding of the horticultural industry as a whole, Michael next took a role in maintenance. Here he got onsite experience and learnt what it takes to maintain a garden. His next role was at Hortus Loci as Show Plant Manager, from which he progressed to General Manager.
Michael briefly left the industry following a move but quickly learnt that a corporate role was not for him. Moving back to the area, his love for horticulture drew him right back to the industry and to Form Plants.
With his taking the role as Nursery Manager at Form Plants, Michael’s daily duties include watering, feeding, pruning, sorting orders and so much more. Planning ahead, Michael ensures that your future order will be grown, packed and delivered in perfect condition.
More recently Michael played a big part in the building of our RHS Garden for a Green Future at Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival 2021. Michael oversaw the team during the build, many of whom had never participated in a show before, and Michael is extremely proud of the amazing job they did. Read more about the garden here. Whilst at Hampton Court Michael also had to ensure the smooth running of the showroom back at home—no easy job.
Michael is enjoying his role at Form Plants, being able to spend more time on the ground, getting lost in the beautiful tree tunnels of the showroom. As well as having a more hands-on role, he’s back to what he is passionate about: the plants, and helping you with your garden.
With so much widespread experience you can see why Michael is such an asset to the Form team. When talking to him you can hear the passion in his voice for what he does. This enthusiasm transfers over to our customers. Michael is on hand at our showroom to discuss your garden needs. When he talks you through the various plants at the nursey, he’s sure to get you excited about your own garden.
Role: Dog and Mascot
On your visit to the showroom, you are sure to see this handsome man snoozing under the canopies of the trees. With his having a less hands-on role compared to his colleagues, Hector’s main duties involve motivating the team, greeting customers, and riding shotgun around the place. He can often be found roaming the showroom, making sure everything is in check. Hector is happy to help our customers with their lunch or keeping their seat warm for them. Make sure you say hi to him on your visit to the Form Plants Showroom.
